Come to our first meeting!

Our first meeting day and time is based on the online poll, but this will not necessarily become our regular meeting time.

We will meet to discuss starting an officially sanctioned student club at Sacramento City College.

We hope that as many of you as possible will be able to attend. If you are not able to attend, please e-mail us an let us know that you are still interested. We must have at least 10 current students sign up to become a club.

Also, please feel free to invite or bring friend and other like-minded people.

What’s the big deal?

What’s the big deal if “under God” is in the Pledge of Allegiance? So
what if the motto is “In God we trust”? Does it really hurt anyone if
“so help me God” is added to the president’s oath of office?

At the March general meeting, noted atheist activist Mike Newdow will
discuss these matters and how his three current lawsuits (challenging
each of those practices) revolve around that question.

Light refreshments will be served. Traditionally, a post-meeting get-
together is held as well for those wishing further social interaction.
