International Blasphemy Day

International Blashpemy Rights Day is celebrated on September 30th to commemorate the publishing of the Muhammad cartoons by Jyllands-Posten. Since the right to criticize and satirize religion is slowly being chipped away and even completely abolished in some countries, International Blasphemy Day is a day to exercise our rights to speak freely about anything, even major religions. The purpose of this day is not to encourage violence or hate or the ridicule of religion, but it is to take advantage of and promote free speech that is sometimes taken for granted.

Exercise your right to speak out!
