  1. Because God tells us not to kill ourselves, and failing to take what measures we can are tantamount to suicide. This entire video is based on the premise God will physically protect us in this life. This is never stated in the bible. Gods promise is for our eternal salvation, not our temporal salvation. As such, this video is making a straw man (fallacy) and therefore will convince only those not familiar with what the bible actually says.

  2. Objectiveitees makes a semi-valid point, scripturally speaking. But this comes from a company (individual?) who claims to promote Objectivity and then bases every single thought they have on a 2,000-year-old, anonymously authored collection of unsubstantiated mythology with zero connection to material reality. So…

  3. Considering the name of this company (individuals?) is “Free Thinkers”, you should probably be a little more open to the criticism of your arguments. Keep in mind that this video seems to celebrate the deaths of Christians, something that’s generally looked down upon. Do you also get giddy when you see pictures of the holocaust?

Doing the research is just part of making an argument. This video also uses a 2,000 year old collection of mythology to make its points. You claim to promote objectivity, but you base every single thought on the premise that all forms of history with a sliver of religious connotation is invalid and unworthy of consideration on any level. The extreme goes both ways. Pointing the finger and crying “hypocrisy!” is a great way to get a lot more people pointing the finger back.

    • We’re always open to criticism, which is why your comment and the previous one are actually published. We welcome your kind of criticism because it often shows the lack of reason and logic that religion employs. Your baseless and confused responses only strengthen our case.

The video doesn’t celebrate the deaths of Christians, it simply shows that if there is a god he is one sick puppy and devoting your life to praising his name doesn’t make you any more blessed than the most godless atheists. If God does exist, he doesn’t love you any more than us. The violent death of anyone (of any creed) does not make us giddy, but knowing your god isn’t really there kind of does.

  4. Does everything you say have to be laced in venom? If you’re truly open to criticism you wouldn’t attack a fellow free thinker just because he pointed out a fallacy in your own argument. If you say that religion lacks reason, then you’re also saying that morals and ethics also lack reason, since they’re so closely affiliated. Indeed, nearly all concepts of right and wrong originated in social structures held together by religions.

In a debate, would you shove your finger into the other person’s face and cry “baseless” and “confused”? Insults only strengthen the opposition’s cause. Both free thinkers and religious people have their martyrs. You probably shouldn’t make it so easy for them.

If celebrating the absence of God is what makes you giddy, then you’re celebrating the belief that a very large percentage of the world’s population is willingly ignorant and stupid. If a mentally incapacitated person were in the room with you, would you invest as much effort to make him realize how stupid you think he is? Your own baseless attacks against religion are rather similar, since you firmly believe that it takes some sort of retard to abandon all reason and put faith in an unseen deity. Perhaps if we treated them like normal, intelligent human beings they may be more open to our arguments.
